Since our founding in September 1957, we have continued making headway in the highly-specialized manufacture of optical products, and based our advanced technology, we have developed a diverse array of products broadly supported in the fields of photography and imaging, including industrial filters, binoculars and astronomical telescopes. During this time, we have also steadily expanded the segments in which we do business to include OEM production of security equipment and industrial lenses, continuing on a trajectory of sustainable growth in response to current needs.

My name is Tadashi Sakurai, and I am the new president of Kenko Tokina.

I have worked with over 1,000 local staff members across our major overseas locations in the manufacture of optical products, and harnessing my on-site knowledge and experience, I promise to give my all to ensure the production and delivery of only the very best products, above and beyond customer expectation.

Our operations are split across three segments: photo and imaging accessories, optical products and medical and industrial products, but our endeavors in these fields are unified by our mission: to help create a society rich in communication and empathy.

For photo and imaging accessories, we are engaged mainly in the manufacture and sale of lens filters, interchangeable lenses and tripods, developing high-value-added products boasting quality and ease of use to accommodate diverse market needs in professional photography and imaging. In optical products, we are working to strengthen development in sports optics, a field where demand has increased in recent years, focusing on binoculars and astronomical telescopes while also innovating new ways to experience concerts, camping, sports spectating and other outdoor pursuits. We also develop and manufacture security equipment and CCTV lenses within our medical and industrial products segment, harnessing OEM production to flexibly respond to the diverse needs of our clients.
